Professional Voltage Testers from HDT

The voltage tester is the most important tool for the electrician; he uses it to determine the absence of voltage on operationally live parts and trusts its safe function for the rest of his life. Voltage testers are divided into single-pole (also called phase testers) and double-pole voltage testers, which provide a safe test result.

The highest safety requirements are shown in a special standard for two-pole voltage testers, the EN 61243-3 in its current version 2014.

Furthermore, there are non-contact voltage testers, which are mainly used in the American market and to search for cable breaks. They are not suitable for reliably detecting the absence of voltage.

The product range of simple voltage testers consists of low-priced models that have basic functions and comply with current safety standards.

HDT is the world's leading OEM/ODM manufacturer of voltage testers and offers suitable products for every application, which are described below.

As the market leader in 2-pole voltage testers, we cover the requirements for highest safety and most comprehensive functions - from the beginner to the professional. Also available with your housing!

Professional 2-pole "ProRCD" voltage testers

The models with load switch (load buttons) are the top products in the HDT portfolio of 2-pole voltage testers and, in addition to a wide range of functions such as frequency measurement or resistance measurement, offer the possibility of connecting a load for tripping a residual current circuit breaker or resolving ghost voltages. This is done according to the standard via the two-hand operation of the load buttons in the main body and test probe of the voltage tester.

Voltage testers with IP2X tip protection

A further feature of 2-pole voltage testers are models with protected test probes. Originally required by the EDF in France, the metal tips have an insulating protective sheath which must first be removed for measurement by spring force or 2-hand release. This is to prevent possible short circuits. And according to the latest standard EN 61243-3, higher loads than the 3.5 mA at 230 V are also permissible, for example to trigger a residual current circuit breaker.

Non-contact voltage testers

Non-contact voltage testers detect the electric field strength emitted by a conductor or other live parts such as sockets. This is then indicated to the user by means of an LED, a sound generator and/or a vibration motor. However, this only works with AC voltage and not with DC voltage.

HDT offers a wide range of products here, from simple analogue voltage detection to rotary field detection in the 3-phase network and digital interference filter.

Accessories for voltage testers

An essential accessory for the voltage tester is, for example, the "Proving Unit" required in the UK, which generates a test voltage with which the function of the voltage tester can be verified before use.

How and where can I order these voltage testers?

HDT works exclusively as an OEM/ODM manufacturer and is constantly developing the portfolio further - for innovative and competitive products for your brand.
From an order quantity of 100 units, the voltage testers can be customised to your requirements, for example by changing the housing colours and the device printing.

The packaging can be designed according to your wishes. You determine the languages of the operating instructions as well as the address of the contact person.
Typical delivery times are 4-8 weeks from Hong Kong or Serbia.

The products are developed in Europe and tested in Germany by our quality assurance department. TÜV-GS marks are available for some products.
As a specialist in electrical test and measurement equipment, we place a high value on safety and ease of use. Our products are exclusively available under customer brand.
